Hill Helicopters is an English manufacturer of light helicopters. The company from Rugeley, Staffordshire, has developed and manufactured a complete aircraft from scratch with a team of over 80 engineers. Hill Helicopters is the developer, designer, and manufacturer of the five-seat turbine light helicopter HX50. "We are bringing the production of light helicopters back to the UK for the first time in 50 years. To sell an effective light helicopter for private aviation, one must be within the price range of high-powered high-end sports cars. To achieve this, one cannot rely on existing supply chains of the aerospace industry. Therefore, we had to develop a vertically integrated manufacturing strategy in which we produce everything from scratch ourselves," explains Dr. Jason Hill, company founder, chairman, and chief engineer of Hill Helicopters.
