Eve Air Mobility (Eve) has raised $230 million via a registered direct offering, issuing more than 47 million shares at $4.85 each. The round included Brazilian Depositary Receipts (BDRs) purchased by BNDESPAR, the investment arm of Brazil’s development bank, at R$26.21 per unit. The BDRs will trade on Brazil’s B3 exchange establishing a dual listing in the U.S. and Brazil.
Proceeds will support operations, strategic investments, debt repayment, and services in Brazil. “This equity raise marks a significant milestone in our journey,” said CEO Johann Bordais. CFO Eduardo Couto added that the dual listing broadens Eve’s investor base. Embraer and other institutional investors also joined the round, with Cantor Fitzgerald, Raymond James, and Banco Bradesco BBI acting as placement agents.
In June this year Eve signed a Letter of Intent with Aerosolutions and Bluenest by Globalvia for the sale of up to 50 eVTOL aircraft and access to Eve’s TechCare service platform. The agreement aims to launch advanced air mobility services in Costa Rica, starting with short-haul routes in Guanacaste connecting airports, resorts, and eco-destinations.
“Joining forces with Aerosolutions and Bluenest allows us to accelerate the introduction of safe, sustainable, and efficient air mobility in Costa Rica,” said Bordais. The initiative targets reducing road congestion and strengthening Costa Rica’s leadership in ecotourism, which draws over three million visitors annually.
Bluenest, Globalvia’s advanced air mobility unit, will lead vertiport development. “By developing cutting-edge vertiports, we are enabling safe and efficient eVTOL operations and contributing to Costa Rica’s green agenda,” said Bluenest managing director Jose Ignacio Rodriguez.
Eve’s eVTOL aircraft uses a lift-plus-cruise configuration with eight vertical propellers, fixed wings, and a dual-motor pusher system for safety and redundancy. The prototype is undergoing comprehensive testing as the company pushes forward with commercialization.
