The CA-1 Europa is set to be equipped with sensors from Hensoldt, including the integration of technologies and sensors in the fields of radar, optronics, self-protection, and electronic warfare.

Helsing and Hensoldt are already collaborating with the Norwegian company Kongsberg to establish a satellite constellation for reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition for Europe by 2029.

"The future of modern defence systems lies in the intelligent and networked interplay of sensors and artificial intelligence," stated Oliver Dörre, CEO of Hensoldt.

Gundbert Scherf, co-founder and co-CEO of Helsing, referred to the CA-1 as "a proposal for credible European deterrence." He emphasised the importance of having an independent arms production capability for the sovereignty and superiority of armed forces.
