Firehawk has secured investment aimed at boosting Europe’s local production of critical munitions components, enhancing resilience and sustaining NATO and allied defence readiness. The fund, a rare collaboration between a venture capital firm and a defence prime, bridges innovation and industry, accelerating adoption of Firehawk’s technologies and offering a new model for rapid deployment of advanced defence solutions.

“The conflict in Ukraine shows that while drones provide an edge, missiles and rockets remain central to combat power,” says Will Edwards, CEO of Firehawk. “Propellant and energetics are the weakest link in missile, rocket, and artillery production. Our mission is to enable Europe to produce these weapons quickly and at scale. Partnering with Presto Tech Horizons and CSG helps secure the supply chain and ensure allies can maintain production of critical defence equipment.”

3D printing to produce complex solid propellant designs

Michal Strnad, Chairman of the Board of CSG, adds: “Firehawk is key to the future of rocket propulsion and ammunition production. This project strengthens U.S.-European defense cooperation and highlights the need to invest in innovative technologies.”

Firehawk leverages 3D printing to produce complex solid propellant designs previously impossible at scale. “They’re not just speeding up propellant production; they’re reshaping the missile and rocket supply chain,” says Matej Luhovy, Partner at Presto Tech Horizons. “That’s why this partnership is vital for Europe’s defense resilience.”
