The processed ballistic materials are used in military and security vehicle construction as well as in the protection of critical infrastructure.

The approval of the Bundeswehr's Technical Center for Weapons and Ammunition (WTD91) for the Kloeckner Metals Germany site in Kaufungen near Kassel (Germany) is the official certification of suitability for laser cutting parts from armor materials in accordance with the technical delivery condition.

The certification also confirms the performance capability of the network of approved production sites of Kloeckner Metals Germany, which ensures maximum process reliability and certified quality with laser, plasma, and waterjet cutting.

Today, Ambo Stahl serves as a specialized competence center of the company for processing wear-resistant, high-strength, and ballistic special steels, offering oxy-fuel, plasma, laser, waterjet cutting, and sandblasting services. With its own cutting technology center and thanks to various certified processing technologies as well as a wide range and depth of products, these specialty steels can be delivered quickly and flexibly, including custom formats.
