The new configuration demonstrates RIwP’s adaptability, allowing forces to integrate different effectors and sensors on a common base hub. Already combat-tested with the U.S. Army, the 30x173mm version offers a larger-calibre option alongside the previously displayed 30x113mm cannon, both suitable for counter-drone roles.

The blistering pace at which new threats appear demands a weapon system that can evolve at an equally rapid rate – this is ingrained in RIwP.

UK Production Plans

If selected for British Army service, Moog plans to manufacture and support RIwP from a UK facility, leveraging its existing domestic footprint and expanding the British supply chain. The platform’s modular design enables shared logistics and maintenance across multiple roles, from short-range air defence to close combat overwatch, enhancing both operational flexibility and economic benefits.
