Sweden even offers an informative website on the subject for companies that want to become part of the supply chain.

The German-Swedish Defence Industry Days are organised by the BDSV and SOFF (Säkerhets- och försvarsföretagen), the Swedish counterpart to the Federal Association of the German Security and Defence Industry.

The conference is dedicated to the complex of issues currently facing the economy, and small and medium-sized enterprises in particular, such as how to become a supplier to the Federal Procurement Office itself or to relevant companies.

These are some of the highlights of the conference:

  • Procurement plans and acquisition processes Sweden from Camilla Ventura, Commercial Director Air- and Navalsystems, FMV
  • Keynote from Vice Admiral Carsten Stawitzki, National Armaments Director German
  • Keynote from Göran Mårtensson, National Armaments Director Sweden
  • Panel: How to Secure the Baltic Sea with Henrik von Loevenich, Head of International Customer Relations, TKMS Micael Malmberg, Business Development and Sales, Lumibird Photonics Sweden Kristofer Alm, Head of strategy and business development, Ovzon

In addition to relevant presentations and keynotes on procurement plans and processes, the conference will also provide an opportunity to establish industrial contacts between the countries.

For companies that want to reorient themselves in the defence market, the specifications and award processes of procurement agencies can sometimes seem complicated and opaque. SOFF wants to offer companies a good overview not only during the German-Swedish Defence Industry Days but also in general, and therefore explains the entire procedure on the ‘Forsvarsexport’ (Defence Export) website. Here, companies from all over Europe can find well-structured information.

Further information on the German-Swedish Defence Industry Days can be found on the SOFF and BDSV websites.
