Renk reportedly achieved new records in sales, order intake and order backlog, driven by continued strong demand in the global defence sector, consistent operational performance and its ability to deliver. CEO, Dr. Alexander Sagel, commented: "Our strategy of consistently focusing on defence technologies is paying off - we are reporting the highest sales, order intake and order backlog in the company's history." This shows that Renk is on the right track to achieve its growth targets by 2030. However, according to Sagel, it is also clear that operational performance and delivery capability will be decisive factors for success in this geopolitically volatile environment.

Renk defence sales grow by 24 percent

The efficient production structure puts Renk in an ideal position to deliver reliably worldwide. The Renk Group increased its consolidated turnover by 19.8 percent in the 2025 financial year (to 1.37 billion euros / 2024 = 1.14 billion). As already mentioned, the main growth driver was the defence business, which grew by 24 percent and now accounts for 74 percent of total sales (2024 = 72 percent). At 21.7%, adjusted EBIT rose faster than sales (to 230 million euros / 2024 = 189 million EBIT). This corresponds to an adjusted EBIT margin of 16.9% (2024 = 16.6%). This positive margin development also reflects the company's increasing operational scaling and strict cost discipline. Demand momentum remained high, which was accompanied by a record order intake of around EUR 1.57 billion (financial year 2024 = EUR 1.44 billion), as emphasised. The total order backlog reached a new high of EUR 6.68 billion as at December 31, 2025 (December 31, 2024 = EUR 4.96 billion).

There are also critical voices on the Renk development

However, there were also critical voices regarding Renk's outlook and cash flow after the company reported record sales and new business for the past year. Despite some fluctuations, the shares were at least able to halve their drop of up to four percent to around two percent. The outlook is at the midpoint of the very broad target ranges, which is somewhat weaker than expected in terms of both turnover and operating profit. According to experts, the operating result in the fourth quarter also failed to meet expectations, but the market has already been prepared for this in a preliminary briefing.
