During the Munich Security Conference 2026, the Association of Bavarian Industries and the Federation of German Industries invited experts from politics and industry for a discussion. Among them was Finnish Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen.

Under the title “Race for Defence Capability: From Idea to Impact,” the Bavarian Economic House hosted its annual side event to the MSC. In addition to Antti Häkkänen's keynote address, the programme included a panel discussion featuring Dr. Florian Dorn, Member of Parliament from the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, Florian Hohenwarter, CEO of KNDS Germany, Prof. Dr. Rafaela Kraus, Defence Innovation Expert at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich, and Marc Wietfeld, CEO and Co-Founder of ARX Robotics, who discussed the hurdles and hopes of the industry.
