The tested air taxi is the Volocity model. What makes it special is the arrangement of 18 electric motors in a circular elastic ring. "This feature poses a significant challenge for the aeroelastic vibration behavior," says test leader Keith Soal of the DLR Institute of Aeroelasticity in Göttingen (Germany).
