For a long time, Trumpf struggled to make a decision and hotly debated whether to go down the military route, like so many other companies. The global security policy framework has changed once again in recent months, according to a Trumpf spokesperson when asked by dpa. This is why the laser specialist has now announced that it will also be making its expertise available to the defense industry in future. But only on one condition: the development and production of laser-based weapons systems and components for weapons systems, as well as supplying customers from the arms industry, is only possible, as Trumpf emphasizes, if they are exclusively defensive weapons - this and nothing else is what the laser experts from Baden-Württemberg want to provide.
