UltiMaker has introduced the Secure Line, a new series of 3D printing systems specifically developed for defence and high-security applications. The S6 Secure and S8 Secure models are intended for use on land, at sea, and in the air, enabling the local production of spare parts and components in critical environments.

Unlike conventional systems, the Secure Line printers operate entirely without network connectivity. They rely on USB-only workflows and exclude cloud services, wireless connections, and external cameras. Security features include encrypted and auditable data handling, tamper-resistant firmware, and hardware-sealed components to ensure data integrity and operational control.

The systems are designed to function under demanding conditions. Their compact, rugged construction supports deployment in military bases, mobile units, or naval installations. According to UltiMaker, the printers can process a wide range of industrial-grade materials and manufacture complex parts directly at the point of need.

Manufactured at UltiMaker’s facility in Zaltbommel, the Netherlands, the Secure Line printers are now available to qualified organisations in the defence and aerospace sectors.
