Daimler Truck is entering yet another partnership in the field of military vehicles. The commercial vehicle manufacturer had already announced similar projects in March and July.

Daimler Truck is taking the next step in the defence sector, this time partnering with General Dynamics Land Systems. The two companies aim to develop, produce, and maintain military logistics vehicles “in selected markets”. This is not their first collaboration: last year, together with other partners, they delivered over 1,500 highly off-road capable logistics trucks to the Canadian Armed Forces as part of a major contract.

According to Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks, the current cooperation primarily involves chassis and base vehicles with customised equipment and long-term service support.

About Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks

The product portfolio includes highly off-road capable Unimog and Zetros models, the Atego, Actros and Arocs truck series, and heavy-duty tractor units for military applications. Production sites are located in Wörth am Rhein (Germany) and Molsheim (France).
