DN Solutions, the third-largest machine tool manufacturer globally and the market leader in South Korea, has launched the second generation of its NHP 6300 horizontal machining center. The new model features significantly reduced non-cutting times, increased spindle performance, and improved compatibility with automation systems.
A key development focus was the reduction of idle times. Compared to its predecessor, the spindle acceleration and deceleration rates have been improved by 20%. The B-axis rotary table indexes 35% faster, and the table rotation speed has more than doubled. These enhancements result in shorter cycle times and higher overall productivity.
Standard features of the NHP series include the B-axis rotary table and the automatic pallet changer (APC), which enable four-sided machining in a single setup and uninterrupted production via alternating use of two pallets. Tool change times have also been reduced by 30%, further minimizing idle time.
At the core of the machine is a high-speed spindle, with efficient cooling of both the spindle and the bearing assembly. In combination with modern thermal compensation, this ensures consistent dimensional accuracy even under thermal load and during extended machining operations—ideal for processing complex and demanding workpieces.
The new NHP 6300 is fully automation-ready and can be seamlessly integrated into systems such as linear pallet systems (LPS). It supports 24/7 lights-out production through intelligent tool monitoring, predictive maintenance features, and advanced process control to prevent errors. An optional Sludge-Free Coolant (SFC) system is available to improve operational efficiency by automatically removing chips and sludge from the coolant. This reduces maintenance needs and increases machine availability.
With its robust construction, precise control system, and flexible automation options, the second-generation NHP 6300 provides a high-performance solution for manufacturers seeking a fast, intelligent, and reliable horizontal machining center.
