The Management Board and Supervisory Board of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen Aktiengesellschaft have approved the establishment of a joint venture with Ondas Autonomous Systems Inc. (Ondas) in Germany.

The US-Israeli company Ondas Autonomous Systems Inc. is a subsidiary of Ondas Holding Inc, a leading provider of autonomous defence and security systems. The partners are aiming to establish a long-term one-stop store for the growing market of autonomous drone defence systems for the protection of critical infrastructure in Europe. The joint venture will start immediately with the further marketing of Ondas products in Germany and Ukraine. In the short and medium term, the partners intend to expand sales to Europe, gradually developing the products for local assembly and production based on European supply chains and industrialising production. To this end, Ondas will hold 51 percent of the shares in the joint venture and consolidate it. Heidelberg will hold a 49 percent stake in the joint venture. However, the establishment of the joint venture is still subject to regulatory approvals.
