Rheinmetall, in partnership with Lockheed Martin, has unveiled the Fuchs JAGM, a next-generation missile carrier designed to counter a wide range of land and air threats. The world premiere took place at the DSEI 2025 defence exhibition in London, marking a milestone in mobile precision firepower for modern battlefields.

The Fuchs JAGM is the world’s first vehicle equipped with 24 vertically launched AGM-179 Joint Air-to-Ground Missiles (JAGM) or AGM-114L Hellfire Longbow missiles. With its advanced sensor suite, the system can detect and engage multiple threats in rapid succession, including tanks, air defence systems, and other high-value targets, without reloading.

The JAGM missile offers a range of up to 16 kilometres and features a tandem high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warhead. Its multimode seeker combines a semi-active laser (SAL) for precision strikes with a fire-and-forget millimetre-wave radar (MMW), enabling accurate targeting in all weather conditions. Proven in multiple flight tests, JAGM can engage both stationary and moving targets, making it suitable for modern, multi-domain operations.

Based on the latest Fuchs Evolution 6x6 armoured transport vehicle, the system benefits from Rheinmetall’s extensive operational experience, with the Fuchs family deployed in over nine countries and more than sixty configurations. The upgraded platform features a new powertrain, digital vehicle architecture compliant with NATO Generic Vehicle Architecture (NGVA), improved ballistic and CBRN protection, and integrated diagnostics for fleet management.

Dr. Björn Bernhard, Head of Rheinmetall’s Vehicle Systems division, highlighted the importance of the collaboration: “Combining the combat-proven Fuchs platform with the precision of JAGM and Hellfire sets a new standard for mobile missile systems. This partnership underlines our commitment to innovation and to meeting the evolving requirements of armed forces worldwide.”

Paula Hartley, Vice President & General Manager Tactical Missiles at Lockheed Martin, added: “Integrating our missile systems into the Fuchs creates a breakthrough vertical launch capability, bringing together combat-proven precision strike technologies with Rheinmetall’s expertise in armoured platforms.”

With its combination of mobility, firepower, and multi-domain adaptability, the Fuchs JAGM is designed to deliver decisive advantages in both conventional and hybrid warfare scenarios.
