Lithuania is currently evaluating the acquisition of a specialised system for low-altitude airspace surveillance from the Israeli manufacturer "Elbit Systems". This system is based on a multi-layered sensor network designed to detect, identify, and track various types of aircraft—particularly "Shahed"-type drones—at low altitudes.

A live demonstration of this technology took place on Tuesday in the Kaunas district. It showcased the system's capabilities for the detection and tracking of drones at low altitudes. In addition to Elbit, Telecentras, Granta Autonomy, and Ami Wings—the latter two with their own drones—participated in the demonstration. Aerospace and Defence had the unique opportunity to join the event.
