Printed components also help the medical service

The German volunteers at Drukarmija are therefore not allowed to print everything that is technically possible. For example, no orders for parts that could theoretically be classified as weapons are assigned abroad. This is to avoid conflicts with the German War Weapons Control Act. According to official information, plastic parts for weapons and ammunition are directly printed in Ukraine. On the other hand, additively manufactured ammunition dummies for training purposes, such as tank mines or the infamous and treacherous cluster munitions with colorful plastic wings that often endanger children because they look like toys, do originate from Germany. The dummies are intended to help children leave such things untouched. Recently, models of human bones have also been included to provide search teams on battlefields with something to compare. Soldiers who have lost limbs receive protectors for their prostheses, for example. For the Munich project Energy for Ukraine, plastic handles for vein finders are also printed. Under red light, paramedics can locate veins even in the dark.
