Akkodis, a global digital engineering consulting company and part of the Adecco Group, and Biolevate, a company specialising in AI solutions for the life sciences industry, have announced a strategic partnership. Together, they aim to accelerate scientific, regulatory and technical documentation processes in highly regulated industries using artificial intelligence.
The partnership will initially launch in France and Belgium, with plans to expand into additional markets. It combines Biolevate’s AI platform with Akkodis’ engineering, validation and regulatory expertise to help organisations meet compliance requirements more efficiently, reduce documentation workloads and accelerate innovation.
In highly regulated industries, scientific, technical and compliance-related documentation is essential for product approvals, quality assurance, patient safety and adherence to regulatory requirements. However, as the volume and complexity of this documentation increase, manual and resource-intensive processes are increasingly reaching their limits. Demand is consequently growing for AI-powered documentation solutions that boost productivity while maintaining compliance, traceability and expert oversight.
The Akkodis and Biolevate partnership addresses these challenges by combining AI-powered automation with in-depth industry expertise and controlled workflows specifically designed for regulated environments. According to Biolevate, this approach can make scientific literature reviews up to 2.5 times faster. At the same time, preparation times for clinical study reports and regulatory submission dossiers can be reduced by up to 50 per cent, while medical device development processes can be shortened by up to 30 per cent.
The ideal combination of technology and expertise
Akkodis brings extensive expertise in life sciences, validation engineering, quality management, regulatory compliance and AI transformation. The company supports organisations in implementing, validating and scaling technology-enabled processes in complex and highly regulated environments, bridging the gap between innovative technologies and their successful practical application.
Biolevate provides ELISE, an AI-powered knowledge and workflow platform designed for regulated environments. Using natural language processing, computer vision and graph-based AI models, the platform helps organisations manage scientific and regulatory documentation and knowledge management processes more efficiently.
ELISE draws on controlled data sources and traceable evidence, incorporating structured review and approval processes involving subject-matter experts. This enables organisations to use AI consistently and transparently, while maintaining auditability. Reusable templates, predefined methodologies and standardised review processes also help preserve institutional knowledge and harmonise documentation workflows across teams.
The joint offering combines Biolevate’s AI-powered knowledge and workflow platform with Akkodis’ consulting, engineering, quality, validation and regulatory expertise. The aim is to support customers in implementing and scaling AI-powered documentation processes.
Together, the companies enable organisations to deploy AI productively in scientific, regulatory and compliance-critical processes with stringent requirements, without compromising transparency, traceability or expert oversight.
Scalable use cases for regulated environments
The partnership supports a range of business-critical processes in regulated settings, including:
Scientific documentation: Systematic literature reviews, clinical study reports and other scientific documentation.
Regulatory documentation and medical communications: Regulatory submission dossiers, filing documentation, medical communications and regulatory intelligence processes.
Medical device development: Product development processes that support regulatory requirements and lifecycle management.
“This partnership embodies the core of Akkodis Intelligence: combining advanced AI with deep human expertise to modernise scientific, regulatory and technical documentation,” says Jo Debecker, President and CEO of Akkodis. “Companies in highly regulated industries need more than powerful AI models. They need controlled workflows that support informed expert decisions. Together, Akkodis and Biolevate help customers deploy AI productively in a way that is scalable, traceable and aligned with regulatory requirements.”
