Kongsberg NanoAvionics is a small satellite mission integrator focused on building new-generation satellite buses and providing end-to-end mission services. Since 2014, they have been setting an industry benchmark for small satellites and have participated in over 120 missions. A&D visited the site to discuss supply chains, challenges, and future plans.

Located in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, is an industrial area that is home to various start-ups, including NanoAvionics, a subsidiary of Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. In the entrance area, a "wall of badges" tells the story of the many missions NanoAvionics has been involved in. While work in the cleanrooms focused intensely on the latest microsatellites, we spoke with Augustinas Lubys, Director of Business Development and Marketing, and Andrius Kubilius, Head of Supply Chain, about the start-up’s challenges, successes, and goals.
