The goal of the new partnership between Delair and Schaeffler is to expand Delair’s drone production and strengthen its military capabilities to protect European airspace, which is to be achieved through a new production line for combatand interceptor drones, which is expected to deliver 100 drones per day as early as this November. The partnership thus combines Schaeffler’s world-class product expertise with Delair’s expertise in the design, integration, and operational deployment of drones.

Damoclès and Aspik will make the airspace safer

The new production line will initially be used to manufacture Damoclès drones, which have already been certified by the DGA (French Defence Procurement Agency) and are in service with the French Army. The project also involves the newly announced Aspik interceptor drone. The new production facility, located in France, will enable Delair to offer competitive products of this type on a large scale. The two companies also plan to enter into a long-term industrial partnership for the manufacture of multirotor drones and their subsystems. Both companies are committed to strengthening Europe’s defence industry and accelerating the availability of high-performance, scalable UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems).
