Unmanned Defense Systems (UDS) is a Lithuanian technology company specialising in the development and integration of UAV solutions for military and security applications. We spoke with Žilvinas Kvedaravičius, CCO and co-owner, about the company’s philosophy, its successes, and the challenges it faces.
The company, which is also based on the outskirts of Vilnius, was founded in the early 2020s. UDS is building an integrated kill-chain ecosystem, combining high-end surveillance and loitering munition drones with the Swarm Command and Control System (SwarmC2) to maximise impact while minimising human involvement. Their flagship Forecaster surveillance drone and Avenger 5 effector operate in coordinated workflows with human-in-the-loop confirmation, featuring resilience against electronic warfare through advanced RF communications and GPS-denied capabilities. The company prioritises performance over the lowest cost, achieving longer ranges and heavier warheads to defeat protected targets.
