Astrolight is a Lithuanian New Space company focusing on laser-based communication systems for space and defence applications. We visited the start-up to discuss their goals and challenges.

Located not far from Kongsberg NanoAvionics, also on the outskirts of the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, Astrolight has established its operations. Their newly occupied premises offer increased space for further technical development and the capacity for high-volume production. Founded in the early 2020s, the company develops compact optical terminals that enable secure and high-performance data transmission between satellites, ground stations, and air- and sea-based platforms.
